Can I live with friends, or can you match me with roommates?

You can select your roommate(s), or you can apply on your own and we can match you with other students. Applicants answer a short list of lifestyle questions to help in the matching process.

What are per-person contracts?

Instead of requiring all roommates to sign a joint lease, each person at Copper Beech Townhomes has their own individual contract, with one person per bedroom. This means you are only responsible for paying for yourself — not your roommates. Even if a roommate moves out or other bedrooms in your apartment are empty, you only pay the rate for your bedroom.

What is included in the rent?

Each resident at Copper Beech Townhomes pays a flat rate that includes:

  • Internet
  • Optional furniture package
  • Parking
  • Community features – fitness center, pool, etc.

What size are the apartments?

The spacious accommodations at Copper Beech Townhomes range from 1 to 4 bedrooms, with a private bathroom for each bedroom plus extra half-baths in most floorplans.

Are the apartments furnished?

Copper Beech Townhomes offers an optional furniture package for a small additional charge which includes a full-size bed, dresser, desk and chair in each bedroom, plus a sofa and love seat or sectional, coffee table and end table with a lamp in the living room, and a kitchen table with chairs. To see a sample of the furniture and other finishes, please visit our model residences.

When do the contracts start and end?

The standard term is August 08, 2024 to July 19, 2025, with payments made in 12 equal installments. Other alternate dates may be available; please inquire with our staff. Click here for a sample agreement.

Is a co-signer or financial guaranty required?

Within 7 days after a Housing Agreement is signed, each resident is required to do one of two things: provide a qualifying guarantor (often a parent), or pre-pay the final 2 installments.

Can I pay by credit card?

Yes. Residents can pay online 24 hours per day, by credit card or ACH electronic checking. Copper Beech Townhomes also offers automatic payment by either credit card or checking account — just fill out one page, one time and payments will be made automatically. Convenience fees apply for credit card and debit card payments.

Will my financial aid cover charges at Copper Beech Townhomes?

Your living costs at Copper Beech Townhomes can be covered by financial aid, just like on-campus housing. Any available financial aid funds, after university charges are satisfied, are released to the student for non-institutional expenses, such as off-campus housing. These funds can be used to pay charges at Copper Beech Townhomes. Normal payment deadlines will continue to apply.

Is Copper Beech Townhomes open to non-students?

Copper Beech Statesboro is designed and offered for students at Georgia Southern University and other local colleges. The per-person contracts are also designed with students in mind. Therefore, applications are accepted only from students at one of these local colleges or universities. Copper Beech Statesboro is an Equal Opportunity housing provider and welcomes student residents/families with children. There is no extra cost for minor children in the care of adult residents, other than regular charges for each bedroom space selected by the resident. A minor occupying a bedroom space rented by a parent, guardian or person with legal custody is not considered a breach of the Housing Agreement or a violation of the rules. In order to match student roommates in shared apartments, we will request roommate consent for any non-student occupants.
